Reforming public system

Reducing poverty and unemployment in Albania fundamentally depends on a substantial effort in implementing reforms needed to improve economic performance. NCSS has contributed for the reformation of Albanian public system particularly in two fields of interventions:

a) strengthening public administration ability to collect information needed for effective policy implementation, and do so in line with internationally accepted standards, as well as

b) develop the ability of government to plan expenditures and deliver services at both central and local level. Improvements in statistical capacity are crucial for better poverty and social impact analysis and facilitation of effective monitoring of progress toward development goals.
