Nonprofit organizations (Albanian and International) provide an alternative for public social service delivery as well as maintain a watchful eye over government policies and services. A solid understanding of social problems and the intersections between governmental sector and nonprofit organizations is critical for developing e delivering good and quality social services. In the development field, nonprofit organizations are expected to reach the poor, improve equity, compensate for waning state services and help generate social inclusion. In the field of democracy, nonprofit organizations allegedly foster democratic values through participation in the policy making and policy reform processes.
